Addicted to Twitter

As a self proclaimed techie I had kind of missed the twitter boat when it first started, yet had been reading about it on loads of blogs and news sites and so finally I decided to dive in!

Now a week in Ive got about 17 followers and am myself following a fair few including some well known celebrities who have jumped on the bandwagon, (Namely Stephen Fry & Robert Llewellyn) and find it very entertaining to know what they are up to and have the chance to interact with some of my heroes/idols.

The problem is….. i cant peel myself away now and I’m making more friendships every day. I’m starting to think of it as a mix between Facebook and IRC. As an IRC user for some 7 or 8 years I built up quite a few net friends and I’m sure the same thing will happen with twitter.

I thoroughly recommend you give it a try and if you’d like to follow my tweets hit me up at http://twitter.com/bengillamor follow @bengillam.

Hey nice looking blog you got here. I’ve been on the Twitter ‘scene’ for a few months and was just like you, heard about it, but didn’t join till much later. Hopefully you’ll find that after an initial settling in period you start to focus who you follow and talk with to make valued connections. It really is worth having a list of quality people and I find that it will alter you experience of Twitter.

Hope you manage to break away for coffee & food thought!

think ive sorted the balence out now :) have made a few good friendhips now and enjoy knowing what people are up to and find it interesting to see what some celebs have to say, some less than others lol. Phillip schofield seems to rabbit on a bit but @stephenfry seems to have something intresting to say most of the time.
