Just thought I’d share this video I made last week with you. I am currently using the trial of LogMeIn Rescue+Mobile.

Im sure you already know who LogMeIn are but what you might not be aware of is its ability to remotely support mobile phones, such as Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Symbian (nokia).

This will be a god send to anyone in a similar situation to me having to support novice users with (sometimes complicated) new smart phones.

Enjoy (Video after the break)

iPhone GPRS / 3G / MMS / Voicemail Settings for all UK Networks

After getting a customer request today to help setup his unlocked iPhone I decided to put together a list of all the iPhone settings for each network to help anyone out there using factory unlocked or Ultrasn0w unlocked iPhones.

The list is formatted to match what you will see on your settings screen, which you can access by going to Settings->General Network->Cellular Data Network.

I also included the O2 settings (which are normally built into official UK devices) just in case anyone has managed to lose these. Lastly i have included details on setting up voicemail access.

All settings were correct at the time of writing but if you have any problems please leave a comment and I can update the list

Note: You must be running iPhone OS 3.0 or higher for MMS.

Just another quick post to let you know I’ve just guest blogged over at the excellent Mikes Life Blog.

It’s been said that the iPhone is the ideal device for Twitter, with its multimedia functionality and fantastic mobile browser, it allows users to experience the best of twitter without having to use a desktop computer and a number of Twitter clients have been released for the iPhone each with its own unique UI and style.

The current favourite amongst  iPhone users is Tweetie and it’s now in its second iteration. Tweetie received a design award from Apple for its simple but effective UI which ties very closely into the iPhone look and feel rather than going over the top with a completely custom and sometimes confusing interface.
